The Opportunity
The Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence & Data Automation Intern to support key operational reporting initiatives. This internship offers an opportunity to work on a high-impact project focused on automating data collection, reporting, and KPI visualization processes.
The selected candidate will help transform multiple data sources into a centralized data repository ("data lake"), develop automated reporting workflows, and create dynamic KPI dashboards and presentation materials using Power BI. This role is ideal for an MBA student with strong analytical, database, and reporting skills who is interested in business intelligence, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities

Consolidate and organize data from multiple Excel spreadsheets and operational data sources.

Assist in the design and development of a centralized data lake to automate data collection and reporting processes.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations to support Operations performance monitoring.

Create automated KPI reporting solutions and presentation-ready slide decks.

Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance insights.

Collaborate with Operations leadership to understand reporting requirements and business objectives.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.

Document processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and automation.
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an MBA program

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and experience with Power BI and data analysis, reporting, and visualization

Knowledge of database administration, database management, and data integration concepts
Soft Skills

Additional Information

This position’s work mode is onsite. The employee will report to San Diego, CA.

Hourly: $35 - $40, actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications
