Role & Responsibilities:
This position is for a senior developer in the Client Channels Authentication and Security Team, at the Alpharetta office.
This is a hands-on development role and requires the candidate to be involved in all parts of the software development life cycle including requirements, software design, writing code, testing, deployment and maintenance.
The candidate is expected to provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications.
The candidate may also be called on to provide technical, troubleshooting and design guidance to other peer application development teams.
Working in a geographically dispersed team, the candidate will be responsible for system design and project delivery. The candidate will be self-motivated and should be able to work in a dynamic environment with limited or no supervision.
Additional responsibilities include:
Lead a functional area / deliverable as required
Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture process
Adhere to and contribute to application development guidelines and help improve the guidelines
Develop and implement security guidelines and best practices
Primary Skills / Must have:
6+ years of software development experience.
Proficient in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployments.
3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration.
3 to 5+ years of experience in java server technologies like J2EE, servlets.
3 to 5+ years of experience in Tomcat, Maven, etc. tools used for Java development.
3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in API/Web Services development using protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON.
Proficient with any one DB (Oracle, DB2, Sybase etc.).
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON and API design for extensibility and portability.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
A thorough understanding of web technologies and web architectures including responsive design
Knowledge of internet attack vectors, protection mechanisms, web application vulnerabilities and their solutions.
Source control (preferably Git), Continuous Integration tools
Secondary Skills / Desired skills:
Prior work on Client facing websites in the banking/brokerage industry a plus.
Experience exposing internet websites on mobile devices, or comprehensive knowledge of mobile application development.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $33.29/hour - $52.01/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
