Summary: Berry Fresh Cafe’s Dishwashers take pride in providing exceptional service to our guests while performing the duties of the Dishwasher in a high volume business environment and the many associated responsibilities. They will ensure the highest quality in regard to cleanliness; duties will include cleaning and sanitizing, maintaining equipment, utensils, tools and dishes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Genera l-
1 . Follows sanitation standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.
2. Assists with daily food preparation.
3. Cleaning food and beverage equipment as well as daily care of foodstuff-relevant rooms (walls and floors).
4. Helps keep equipment operating by following operating instructions. Troubleshoots breakdowns, maintains supplies, and performs preventative maintenance.
5. Keeps all cooking and serving utensils and plates clean & sanitary at all times.
6. Maintains appropriate levels of needed dishes and utensils.
7. Participates fully in environmental sustainability initiative, including recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. This position requires a person be physically fit and mentally alert. There is need for standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, fingering, thinking, reasoning, and calculating, some of it constant.
2. This job has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress. All candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.
3. Since this is a hospitality position, a positive attitude and polite behavior are expected in all dealing with guests and/or fellow team members. This may also require working on weekends and holidays. This person is expected to live example the Purpose and Values of the Company.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
1. The work is primarily indoors, but dependent on conditions, work out of doors may occasionally be required.
2. The employer will attempt in every way to maintain a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment but should the team member notice any potentially unhealthy defect, condition, or situation, he/she will be expected to notify his/her superior immediately to repair that condition.
