RoMac Building Supply is a dedicated roofing material specialist focused exclusively on supplying high-quality asphalt shingles, underlayments, and accessories to contractors and property owners. We don't install roofs—we sell the premium shingle packages that build them. We are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Coordinator to manage our shingle product pipeline, support our outside sales reps, and drive material sales volume.
Job Summary
As an Inside Sales Coordinator, your sole focus is product sales. You will act as the internal engine for our outside sales team, handling inbound material inquiries, generating shingle package quotes, and tracking order fulfillment. This role requires a blend of sharp customer service, proactive lead management, and precision order entry to ensure our outside reps can close high-volume shingle orders seamlessly.
Core Responsibilities
- Shingle Sales Support: Partner directly with Outside Sales Representatives to prepare accurate quotes, check real-time shingle inventory, and finalize material orders.
- Lead Inbound Management: Field incoming phone calls and digital inquiries from contractors, builders, and property owners looking to purchase shingle packages.
- Quote Generation: Calculate material takeoffs and compile competitive pricing structures for architectural, 3-tab, tile, metal and designer shingle packages.
- Pipeline Follow-Up: Proactively contact existing accounts and warm leads to secure recurring shingle orders and meet regional sales targets.
- Order Tracking & Integrity: Ensure all material quantities, color selections, and delivery schedules are accurately entered into our ERP/CRM system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years inside product sales, account coordination, or material distribution. Experience specific to building materials, lumber yards, or roofing shingles is a major advantage.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with major shingle brands (e.g., GAF, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, CertainTeed, Tamko) and associated roofing accessories.
- Communication Skills: Confident phone presence with a strong ability to build quick rapport, handle objections, and upsell accessories like underlayment and ventilation.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in order entry software, inventory management systems (ERP), and CRM tools.
- Detail-Oriented: Flawless math and data entry skills to ensure clients receive the exact shingle quantities and colors ordered
*Pay is hourly $18+ DOE + Sales Incentive
