Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Houseman with maintenance experience to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of hotel facilities. This role requires hands-on maintenance skills, including electrical, mechanical, and facilities upkeep, to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hotel setting, contributing to exceptional guest experiences through proactive maintenance and facility management.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, fixtures, and systems using skills in electrical work, welding, and residential painting.
- Conduct repairs and troubleshooting utilizing schematics, CMMS software, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house facilities in accordance with hotel standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, lighting repairs, HVAC systems, and carpentry work.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to prevent hazards or accidents.
- Support the overall upkeep of the hotel’s physical environment to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and engineering teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics, and residential painting techniques.
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and manufacturing or hospitality maintenance standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and customer service interactions.
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles within the maintenance team.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Prior experience in welding, electrical work, or facilities management is highly desirable. VALID ID AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD REQUIRED. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE DRIVING A VAN TO AND FROM JAA AIRPORT.
HOURS:
Shift 1: 4 AM - 2PM
Shift 2: 2 PM - 12 AM
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
