Overview

Duties
- Conduct detailed dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems to verify product conformity.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to accurately assess parts and assemblies.
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments to maintain measurement accuracy and reliability across inspection activities.
- Collect and analyze data during inspections, documenting findings thoroughly to support quality management systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of non-conformances and recommend corrective actions aligned with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other regulatory standards.
- Support ongoing training in quality systems, measurement techniques, and regulatory requirements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within a manufacturing setting, preferably involving medical devices or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001), GMP, FDA regulations, and quality management principles.
- Hands-on experience operating measurement tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), height gauges, vision inspection systems, and other precision instruments.
- Familiarity with calibration procedures, data collection methods, and performing quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manufacturing documents accurately.
- Basic math skills for dimensional measurements and analysis; understanding of GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to identify deviations from quality standards in production processes.
