Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety, enforce security policies, and identify potential hazards
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary
- Manage access control by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at entry points
- Apply conflict management skills to de-escalate situations calmly and professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved
- Perform first aid and CPR when required, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records accurately and promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields with a focus on safety and protection
- Certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations
- Strong knowledge of CCTV operations, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
- Ability to handle conflicts effectively through conflict management skills
- Familiarity with security protocols, access control systems, and emergency response procedures
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly in high-pressure situations
