Job Summary:
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. This role involves working on both small and large-scale bids, ensuring projects are priced effectively and delivered profitably.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial electrical projects
- Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for labor and materials
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop and submit bid proposals within deadlines
- Maintain organized bid files and documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
