Alternative Behavioral Solutions, Inc. (ABS) is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Qualified Professionals (QPs) to join our Intensive In-Home (IIH) team. Position: Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional (QP)Job Responsibilities
- Provide Intensive In-Home services in accordance with North Carolina Medicaid service definitions and agency policies.
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and participate in Person-Centered Planning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment interventions.
- Coordinate services with families, schools, physicians, DSS, juvenile justice, and other community agencies.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families as needed.
- Collaborate with the IIH Team to ensure quality, individualized care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and Medicaid-compliant documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and required agency trainings.
Work Schedule
This is a community based position with a flexible, non traditional schedule. IIH services are provided when children and families are available, which means your work hours may include afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
This is not a Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. position. We are looking for professionals who value flexibility and understand that behavioral health services are often delivered outside of traditional business hours.
On-Call Responsibilities
Qualified Professionals participate in a rotating weekly on-call schedule to provide crisis response and support for the families we serve. On-call duties are shared among the IIH team, ensuring that no one staff member carries the responsibility alone. During your assigned rotation, you must be available to respond promptly to crisis calls and provide support or coordinate appropriate interventions when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field with at least two (2) years of documented experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs;
OR
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Services, or another related behavioral health field.
Applicants must meet North Carolina Medicaid Qualified Professional (QP) requirements.
Requirements
- Valid North Carolina driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and reference screening.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing community-based behavioral health services is preferred.
