Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas to uphold food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, processing payments accurately while giving correct change
- Manage food safety protocols by following proper food handling and preparation procedures
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure the café is fully equipped for service during overnight hours
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service with a strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in a friendly manner
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during overnight shifts
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work independently in a quiet environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
