Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a diverse range of tandoori dishes with precision and flair, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and efficient workflow management.
- Manage inventory levels for spices, ingredients, and kitchen supplies to optimize costs and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the menu planning team to develop innovative tandoori offerings that align with restaurant standards and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations; ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed.
- Support catering events and banquet functions by preparing large quantities of tandoori dishes while maintaining quality control.
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a strong focus on Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori cooking; fine dining experience preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience in a busy restaurant or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, kitchen management, and inventory control systems.
- Experience with food service management, menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Strong cooking skills complemented by leadership qualities; experience in managing large-scale food production or banquet services is a plus.
