Commercial Floor Care Technician
NGSOM.org Incorporated is hiring a Commercial Floor Care Technician. The primary work will be stripping and waxing commercial floors, including scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and operating floor-care equipment.
Responsibilities
- Strip, wax, scrub, buff, and refinish commercial floors
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other cleaning equipment
- Mix and handle floor-care chemicals safely
- Move furniture and equipment as required
- Perform general commercial cleaning when needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas
Qualifications
- Floor stripping and waxing experience is strongly preferred
- Experience operating commercial floor-care equipment
- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends when projects require it
This position may begin as part-time or project-based work. Employees interested in moving into a full-time position must be willing to learn and assist with multiple services, including:
- Commercial cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Window cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Tenant turnovers
- Painting
- Drywall repair
- Flooring installation and repair
- Light carpentry
- Concrete and masonry repair
- Minor roofing repairs
- General property maintenance
Experience in multiple trades is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone dependable who wants to develop additional skills and grow with the company.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
