Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, recipes, and presentation techniques; develop new beverage recipes to excite guests.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately to process cash transactions and manage tabs efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and alcohol service regulations by following proper handling procedures.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages during busy hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate food and beverage service during events or banquets.
- Uphold cleanliness standards by regularly cleaning bar equipment, glassware, and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, spirits, and beverage recipe development.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and promote sales effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events; hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.
