We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Memory Care Facility Manager to join our team. As the Facility Manager, you will oversee the operations of our memory care facility and ensure the highest level of care for our residents living with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia. You will be responsible for managing a team of caregivers and staff members, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and implementing person-centered care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the facility staff, ensuring a high standard of care for residents with memory impairments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and promote the well-being of residents.
- Manage and coordinate the hiring, training, and scheduling of caregivers and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff members.
- Oversee the implementation and execution of individualized care plans for each resident, ensuring their unique needs and preferences are met.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care for residents.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to infection control protocols, implementing safety measures, and conducting routine inspections.
- Monitor and manage the facility's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective operations.
- Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere within the facility, promoting social interaction and meaningful activities for residents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in a management role within a memory care facility or a similar healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of memory impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia, and familiarity with person-centered care approaches.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to memory care facilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of individuals with memory impairments.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications commonly used in healthcare administration.
