Summer Lakes Beverage is expanding, and we are opening the SUMMER LAKES BOAT HOUSE, a new food and beverage destination at the MN State Fair this year in 2026! Our new location will offer a full food menu, delicious cocktails, craft beers and a live entertainment stage with performances daily! This position will work August 27 - September 7, 2026!
Get in on the fun and join our team as a line cook! As a line cook, you will be preparing and plating all our new food items including Official New Food Dockside Poppers; Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp Skewers; Crispy Chicken Sandwiches; Riblets 'N' Chips; Hand-cut Chips and Dips; Slow-roasted Ribeye Sliders and Wild Rice Walleye sliders.
Responsibilities
- Set up hot line equipment, hot wells, cold prep stations, etc.
- Stock menu item components so everything is ready for service
- Cook and prepare menu items, always maintaining quality standards
- Accurately follow documented standard operating procedures, preparation techniques and sanitation practices to ensure product integrity and safety.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on quality and safety

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
