Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential to creating an outstanding patient experience while ensuring the front office operates efficiently.
The ideal candidate is warm, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing patient interactions with administrative responsibilities. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, learn quickly, and become a trusted administrative resource for our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Collect copayments and verify insurance and demographic information.
- Answer incoming phone calls, and route calls appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist leadership with administrative projects and delegated tasks.
- Create and update reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Respond to emails and other office communications promptly and professionally.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.
- Monitor office supplies and assist with inventory management.
- Handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist with opening and closing office responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative assistant experience preferred.
- Healthcare or medical office experience is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for making patients feel welcome and cared for.
- Friendly, compassionate, and professional personality.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Administrative assistant experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to create reports, organize information, and complete delegated administrative projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
- Dependable and flexible with the ability to work opening and closing shifts as needed.
