Position: Dishwasher
About the Role: We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our family-owned Italian restaurant team. This essential role keeps our kitchen running smoothly by maintaining clean dishes, equipment, and workspaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher and by hand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area and equipment
- Ensure proper sanitation of all kitchenware and cooking equipment
- Empty trash receptacles and maintain garbage disposal areas
- Sweep and mop floors
- Notify management of maintenance or repair needs
- Support kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Follow all health and safety regulations for clean workspaces
Optional:
- Assist with basic food prep tasks when needed (cleaning vegetables, etc.)
- Stock and maintain supply of clean dishes for kitchen and service staff
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; we'll train the right person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible scheduling during non-peak days
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Team player with positive attitude
- Basic understanding of sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
- 17 years or older
