American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.

Work in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a Women's and Children's building
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Supported by unit secretaries and OR techs
-
Documentation systems used include CPN and Meditech
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per assignment period
-
Works 3 shifts of 12 hours each
-
Travelers are required to float first per unit policy
-
Unit emphasizes shared decision-making in patient care

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
-
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM
-
Experience with care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care required
-
Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients required
-
Skilled in procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
-
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
-
Assist with circulating and recovery duties for cesarean section patients

Required to wear Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs (not provided by facility)

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
