ICOP, Inc. is a dedicated, service-oriented construction company in Purcellville, Virginia, seeking to hire an individual to provide payroll support primarily from the Purcellville office. The ideal candidate is efficient and comfortable working in a team, resourceful, a problem solver, and organized. This is a full-time office position.
Job Duties:

Process employee compensation from timecard entries to direct deposit export file.

Assist in the weekly submittal of certified payroll reports.

Assist in weekly and monthly contribution reporting and payments (401k, HSA, child support, etc.)

Assist with payroll accruals, journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assist with employee paycheck inquiries and administrative tasks as required.

Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years of payroll experience.

Construction industry payroll processing experience is required. Prevailing wages and certified payroll reporting experience are a plus.

Knowledge of union labor agreements/compliance and federal, state, and local regulations is preferred.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, in particular).

Successful completion of a payroll skills assessment is required.

Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational and analytical skills, self-starter, attention to detail and accuracy, teamwork, ability to meet deadlines and interact with all levels of the organization.
Work Hours:
This is a full-time exempt position. Core business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00. In the office with potential hybrid schedule once initial training is complete. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
