Job Description/Overview:
Seeking a fun, athletic person for a spirited, active, musical, mostly non-verbal 25 year-old young man. Onsite Training Provided, working side by side with his team.
W2 income position using a payroll company that requires a background check and live scan to get you cleared to work with client. Must have unrestricted access to work in the US.
Estimated Hours/Schedule: 10 - 15 hours/week, 10am - 2pm 2 weekdays, 1 weekend day (schedule can be worked out with co-worker)
Rate: $30/hour & mileage reimbursement at federal rate
Ideal Start Date: August/Sept 2026

Job Description: Seeking a fun, athletic community aide for a mostly non-verbal 25 year-old young man with profound autism. Activities include independent living skills (following a schedule at home, doing light chores and cooking together); varied activities in the community including hiking, working out, going to the movies, restaurants and art classes with other autistic peers; and managing sensory disregulation when it arises (note: this can include self-injurious behaviors).
Client lives at home with a supportive, involved family. Client currently works with an experienced and devoted behavioral team which will provide onboarding and continued training and support.
Must be comfortable with pets, one sweet dog (All American LA Street Mix).
Required Qualifications/Skills: Must have a valid driver's license, their own reliable vehicle and clean driving record. Able to move fast on foot, athletic, energetic! Willing to learn about and manage autistic meltdowns and possible elopement behaviors.
Previous experience working with non-verbal autistic teens and/or adults a plus. ABA Certifications or higher a plus, or willing to obtain if opportunity presents itself.
