Responsibilities or job duties:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring orders are accurate and shipped on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory variances.
- Monitor shipping schedules and coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Analyze shipping, receiving, and inventory data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports on shipping performance, inventory accuracy, and logistics costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
- Support inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and increase productivity.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED
- Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
