Position Summary
The Shipping, Receiving & Kitting Coordinator is responsible for receiving, inventory control, and project-based material kitting to support production, final vessel delivery, and work performed across multiple locations. This role ensures inbound materials are received, sorted, audited, and assembled into accurate kits by project and boat, reducing duplicate handling and improving material readiness.
Role Objective
The objective of this role is to improve material flow, maintain accurate inventory, eliminate duplicate handling, and ensure project and spare kits are complete, audited, and ready on time to support the build schedule and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound products into the ERP system accurately and maintain inventory control within the shipping, receiving, and parts areas.
- Sort, stage, and organize materials by project, boat, build schedule, and destination.
- Assemble and maintain project-specific material kits for transfer to other locations.
- Assemble and maintain spare kits for boats remaining in Watertown, ensuring kits are complete and ready on time per the build and delivery schedule.
- Perform regular audits to confirm material readiness, identify missing items, and track kit completion status.
- Flag material shortages, late items, or inventory gaps that could affect production, outfitting, or on-time delivery.
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Parts, Production, and Logistics to ensure missing items are identified early and action is taken to close gaps.
- Prepare pallets, labels, documentation, and shipments so materials move correctly the first time with minimal rework.
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled receiving, inventory, kitting, and staging areas.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse, or parts operations.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an ERP or inventory management system.
- Ability to read project, boat, or work order requirements and build accurate material kits.
- Forklift experience preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
