A full-service Engineering firm is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for a full-time, year round position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of unique and challenging projects across the mountain west. Nelson Engineering is a multidisciplinary firm known for our collaborative approach, commitment to quality, and deep roots in the Jackson community.
Applicant should have a minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural design, with skill in Concrete; Masonry; Steel & Timber design, as well as familiarity in Wind & Seismic design. EIT required, PE license preferred. Must be experienced in Revit; AutoCad, Risa & Enercalc, as well as Word & Excel.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and municipal projects
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with internal teams, architects, contractors, and clients
- Conduct site visits and inspections to support project execution
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and coordination
