South Tower Community Land Trust (STCLT) is a radical, intersectional, people-centered, non-profit community land trust based in Fresno’s South Tower Neighborhood. The mission of STCLT is to co-create a nurturing relationship with land and people by building community control of land, buildings and civic resources centered in the South Tower neighborhood. We envision a barrier-free South Tower, creatively building shared prosperity and health.
The Market Coordinator will lead the launch and operations of Canal Market, a new farmers market and outdoor event space at 815 E. Thomas in the Tower District. Role will collaborate with Outreach Assistant, other STCLT staff and consultants in growing and adapting the Market over time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work with graphic designer on developing Canal Market brand and marketing materials
- Identify and nurture relationships with food and produce vendors
- Create and maintain Canal Market schedule
- Identify Canal Market promotional partners & opportunities
- Generate digital, print & video promotion for Canal Market
- Work with Operations Manager to determine strategy, implementation & process
- Host Canal Market events including weekends & evenings. Includes setup and cleanup
- Lead communications about the operations and goals of Canal Market
- Report on Canal Market metrics including attendance, community feedback & budget
- Ability to lift and set up folding tables, pop up tents and other event supplies
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with diverse communities and has experience working with food vendors and marketing events. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of managing event logistics. Multilingual ability in English, Spanish and/or ASL is preferred.
