Job Title: Physician Liaison / Physician Relations Coordinator ( entry level position)

Position Summary
The Physician Liaison / Physician Relations Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers, hospitals, and community practices to promote the services of the Fatty Liver Clinic and Liver Institute. This role also supports physician operations, coordinates communication between providers and staff, and assists with strategic growth initiatives, including satellite clinic expansion.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, professional, and comfortable working independently while building strong relationships within the healthcare community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Physician Outreach & Practice Development
Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, hospitals, and healthcare organizations.
Conduct regular in-person visits to physician offices and healthcare facilities throughout Tucson and surrounding communities.
Meet with physicians, practice managers, referral coordinators, and office staff to introduce the Fatty Liver Clinic and strengthen referral relationships.
Promote the practice's services and educate referral sources on available programs and referral processes.
Plan and coordinate physician outreach initiatives, educational presentations, and networking events.
Monitor referral trends and identify opportunities to expand referral relationships.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, physician interactions, referral sources, and referral outcomes.
Physician Relations & Operations
Serve as the primary communication bridge between physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
Facilitate communication with referring providers and external healthcare partners.
Address physician requests and ensure timely follow-through.
Support physician scheduling, credentialing coordination, and workflow efficiency.
Assist with the onboarding and integration of new physicians and advanced practice providers.
Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and provider satisfaction.
Scheduling & Provider Coordination
Schedule meetings with referring physicians and providers based on their availability.
Be available for early morning, evening, or occasional weekend meetings when necessary.
Understand that physicians' schedules are centered around patient care and require flexibility when coordinating meetings.
Ensure timely communication and follow-up with referring offices regarding patient referrals and scheduling.
Physician Support
Assist the primary physician in identifying new satellite office locations and timeshare opportunities to expand practice services.
Coordinate communication and logistics related to satellite office operations.
Provide administrative support that improves physician efficiency and patient access.
Travel & Community Engagement
Travel regularly within the assigned territory to visit referring practices and healthcare organizations.
Represent the practice at community events, conferences, health fairs, and professional networking opportunities.
Travel may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in physician relations, healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical sales, medical practice management, or business development preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management .
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Work Schedule
Part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week.
Flexible schedule based on business needs.
Availability for meetings at 7:00 a.m., after 4:00 p.m., and occasional Saturdays when physicians are in clinic.
Flexibility to accommodate physician and referring provider schedules is required.

Pay: $24.48 - $25.52 per hour
