We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our plating plant operations.
Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Plating Plant Maintenance Technician with at least 5 years of dedicated experience in an industrial or chemical processing environment, preferably within a metal plating facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electroplating equipment and associated facility systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, and supporting our production goals through proactive and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Maintain and fix plating equipment, pumps, rectifiers, conveyors, and ventilation systems
- Install, modify, and relocate machinery and piping
- Perform preventive/predictive maintenance
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
- Respond to breakdowns and support emergency repairs
- Handle basic facility maintenance (lighting, plumbing, structural)
- Follow all safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, confined space, etc.)
- Keep maintenance records using CMMS
- Work closely with production teams and assist junior techs
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or Mechanic in a manufacturing, chemical processing, or preferably a metal plating/finishing environment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Hands-on experience with 3-phase power, VFDs, motor controls, pumps, and piping
- Able to read schematics and blueprints
- Welding/fabrication and PLC knowledge is a plus
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
