About the Role:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management and accuracy of inventory within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained to meet production and customer demands. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk collaborates closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow and minimize stock discrepancies. By executing effective inventory control procedures and utilizing inventory management systems, this role helps reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Inventory Coordinator supports the manufacturing process by maintaining accurate inventory records and facilitating timely availability of materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WM systems and processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting to support inventory optimization.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production and customer orders.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software.
- Identify and report inventory variances, damages, or obsolete stock to management for resolution.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to optimize stock accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
