Job Description
This opportunity is to become an important team member as a Control
Wiring Technician. A Control Wiring Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of control wiring systems used in various industrial and commercial applications. This role typically involves working with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems for machinery and equipment.
Shift:7am-3pm
1. Install and assemble control wiring systems according to specifications and electrical schematics.
2. Ensure all wiring is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
3. Help in the set-up and layout of new shop space
4. Help maintain stock and consumable materials
5. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on control wiring systems to ensure optimal
performance.
6. Update wiring diagrams and schematics as necessary
7. Work closely with engineers and other technicians to design and implement control systems for new
projects
8. Work with QA/QC Technicians to tests on control wiring systems to verify functionality and compliance
with specifications.
9. Work closely with Controls Foreman to build and pick BOMS (bill of materials)
10. Help maintain clean shop, yard and storage areas
11. Use past knowledge and experience to assist in implementation of new policies and procedures
Requirements
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools
Must be a team player, willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate computer skills
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications (not mandatory but an asset)
Qualifications and experience to match IBEW 230 requirements for each pay scale
Electrical Technician or Technologist
Electrical or Controls Engineer
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
