RECORDS CLERK – Washington County Clerk of the District Court (Full-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Washington County Clerk of District Court is currently hiring for a Records Clerk position. The selected candidate will perform a variety of skilled clerical work related to the recordkeeping of cases in the District Court office requiring considerable attention to detail, confidentiality, and independent judgment. Candidate must be able to maintain compliance with yearly educational requirements.
Experience will be considered in determining base pay.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Answer phone calls
- Assist the public courteously and tactfully
- Use computer and related software applications
- Perform data entry
- Maintain updated records
- Review filings for completeness
- Operate standard office equipment
- Collect and process fees, fines, and other payments
- Communicate effectively with the public, coworkers, supervisor, etc.
- Able to effectively work independently
- Perform courtroom duties
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Prior legal experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Time management
- Customer service
- Office, clerical experience
- Basic accounting
- Spelling and grammar skills
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
