Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum
guidelines.
- Teach a variety of social studies classes.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
and fosters respect for diverse perspectives.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, tests, and other evaluation methods,
providing timely feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding academic
progress and behavioral issues.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices in social studies education and
continuously seek opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Social Studies for the appropriate grade level.
- Strong knowledge of social studies content and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate
students.
- Proficient in using technology for teaching and classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
