Altius is hiring an experienced Roll Thread Setup Operator to support and grow our manufacturing operation in Northwest Alabama. We manufacture engineered fasteners and components using cold heading and thread rolling equipment in a production-driven environment focused on efficiency, consistency, and quality. Relocation assistance is available for experienced candidates.
This is a true setup role — You will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing thread rolling and sems machines in a production environment where your experience directly impacts performance.
What You’ll Do
Set up and change over thread rolling and sems machines
Install, adjust, and maintain tooling / dies
Troubleshoot production issues and make real-time machine adjustments
Optimize machine performance, efficiency, and product quality
Work closely with operators to ensure consistent output and uptime
Support and train less experienced operators as needed
Maintain production standards, safety, and housekeeping expectations
What We’re Looking For
Required:
Hands-on experience setting up straight roll threaders and sems
Experience on EW Menn, Saspi, and Hartford threader
Ability to independently troubleshoot and adjust machines
Strong understanding of tooling, dies, and production flow
Consistent work history in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
Experience in high-volume fastener or component manufacturing
Ability to read prints and understand tolerances
Experience training or mentoring operators
