Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access
- Control access points using security protocols and access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors
- Perform surveillance activities utilizing CCTV cameras and other monitoring tools to ensure ongoing site security
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical emergencies, or conflict situations
- Write detailed incident reports documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes for record-keeping and future reference
- Assist in performing background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security screening processes
- Support emergency response procedures such as AED operation, CPR, first aid, and fire safety measures when necessary
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and physical security practices
- Experience with law enforcement procedures or military background is advantageous
- Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident management
- Skilled in conflict de-escalation and conflict management to resolve issues peacefully and professionally
- Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks for security clearance
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining authority and professionalism
- Knowledge of fire safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and compliance with security regulations
- Capable of patrolling large areas efficiently while maintaining vigilance over multiple points of entry and exit
