Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical, communication, and front-office support for the church office. This position helps create a welcoming and organized environment by assisting with phones, weekly communication tasks. The role reports to the Senior Pastor and works closely with the Office & Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily office functions and effective communication with the congregation and community.
Estimated Hours
12 hours per week
Wednesday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
· Answer phones and respond to general inquiries in a welcoming and professional manner.
· Greet all incoming visitors and staff who come to the church office.
· Direct questions to the appropriate staff member.
· Prepare and organize weekly worship materials including bulletins, children’s bulletins, inserts, and announcements.
· Assist with church communications including:
o Our weekly newsletter
o Bulletin board announcements
o Updating posters and printed materials
· Assist with data entry and recurring administrative tasks such as:
o Sunday Worship and Bible Study attendance
o Help coordinate mailings and basic office organization.
o Order all office and janitorial supplies.
Qualifications & Skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Friendly and hospitable demeanor.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and email platforms.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
Experience in a church or nonprofit office setting preferred.
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
