We are seeking an experienced server with a strong background in upscale Italian dining. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming, family-friendly yet refined atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:* Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service to guests in a fast-paced, upscale/family-style Italian restaurant.* Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and detailed descriptions of Italian dishes and daily specials.*
Demonstrate expertise in Italian wines, including regions, grape varieties, and food pairings; present, open, and pour wine tableside.* Build rapport with guests, ensuring a comfortable and service-oriented dining experience.* Accurately take and relay orders using a POS system.* Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally.* Bus tables, reset for the next course, and maintain a clean dining area.* Present bills, process payments, and thank guests for their patronage.* Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Requirements:* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a server in an upscale Italian restaurant (not a pizza-only establishment).*
Strong knowledge of Italian wines, including presentation and service.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.*
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.* Commitment to providing outstanding hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
