Job Summary
The Construction Technician supports capital improvement and unit turn projects across our Rochester portfolio, executing skilled hands-on work in carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and basic mechanical/plumbing/electrical tasks. This role reports to the Construction Manager and works alongside maintenance teams to deliver quality renovations on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilties
- Perform skilled construction and renovation work—including framing, drywall installation and finishing, flooring(LVP), painting, fixture installation, trim/carpentry-to company standards across capital projects and unit turns.
- Execute basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical tasks within the scope of licensure, escalating work requiring a licensed trade to the appropriate professional.
- Read and interpret project scopes, plans, and material specifications, and accurately install standard-spec materials and fixtures per project requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times, following OSHA standards and company PPE/safety protocols.
- Track project progress, materials used, and labor hours through Property Meld (or designated project management system), and communicate status updates to the project lead.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
