Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and ensure floor care standards are met consistently
- Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces to uphold sanitation standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment while following proper manual handling procedures
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Use janitorial equipment effectively to ensure efficient cleaning operations and uphold hotel housekeeping management standards
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning techniques
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while maintaining a clean working environment
- Excellent customer service skills to address guest needs courteously and professionally
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other tools used in hotel housekeeping
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods throughout shifts
