We are looking for a reliable RN/LPN to care for invalids and injured people in a professional and considerate manner. RN/LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.
Position summary:
The RN/LPN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility, ensuring clinical standards, resident safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine nursing care and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the supervising RN or DON
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes
- Document care provided in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and CNAs
- Support infection prevention practices and maintain a safe care environment
- Promote residents’ rights, comfort, and well-being
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN/LPN license in the state of employment
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required
- Strong, assessment, communication, critical thinking, documentation and organizational skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS as applicable/desired.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Physical/other requirements:
- Ability to lift/move residents and stand for extended periods.
- Pass background check, drug screen, and TB/health screening per facility policy.
