About the Role
As a CBRE Mobile HVAC Technician , you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections across a portfolio of 19 retail locations within the Open NE Route 02. This role focuses on maintaining critical HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation for client facilities.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, which is responsible for providing technical support, preventive maintenance, and repair services for building systems and equipment. The Mobile HVAC Technician will travel between assigned sites and work independently to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support overall facility performance.
The technician will primarily service a fleet of 31 HVAC units , including 27 rooftop units, 2 air handlers, and 2 condensers , across multiple equipment manufacturers including Carrier, Trane, York, Rheem, Bryant, and ICP . There is no mandatory overtime associated with this route. What You'll Do
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems across 19 assigned retail locations.
Service and maintain approximately 31 HVAC units, including 27 rooftop units, 2 air handlers, and 2 condensers.
Diagnose and repair equipment from manufacturers including Carrier, Trane, York, Rheem, Bryant, and ICP.
Review assigned work orders and estimate the labor, materials, and time required to complete repairs. Manage and track work order completion.
Assist with the installation, replacement, and modification of HVAC equipment and building systems.
Inspect new and existing installations to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all HVAC systems operate at maximum efficiency and performance.
Conduct routine site inspections and identify maintenance concerns before equipment failures occur.
Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and supervisors regarding service status, repair recommendations, and operational concerns.
Follow established safety procedures, company policies, and maintenance best practices while working independently in the field. What You'll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Valid Driver's License required.
EPA Section 608 Type II Certification or Universal EPA Certification is required.
Experience working with commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, condensers, and air handlers preferred.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment from multiple manufacturers.
Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing ladders and stairs, and lifting/carrying equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
Ability to follow established work routines, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
Strong communication skills with the ability to exchange straightforward information and respond to client inquiries.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with an inquisitive and solution-oriented mindset.
Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, measurements, markups, and simple formulas.
Ability to work independently, manage a mobile service route, and prioritize multiple service requests effectively. Why CBRE
