Job Summary
The Courtesy Shuttle Driver provides safe, professional, and friendly transportation for dealership customers to and from the dealership while their vehicles are being serviced.
Essential Job Duties
- Safely transport customers to and from the dealership in a timely and courteous manner
- Maintain awareness of scheduling needs and communicate effectively with service advisors
- Follow all traffic laws, dealership policies, and safety procedures
- Keep the shuttle vehicle clean, orderly, and fueled
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with customers
- Provide basic customer assistance and answer general questions about dealership services (no mechanical diagnosis or promises of repair outcomes)
- Run dealership errands (picking up parts, paperwork, or vehicles) as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Minimum age requirement as determined by insurance carrier
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings or evenings as scheduled
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to assist customers with light mobility needs when appropriate
- Ability to lift up to approximately 25 pounds occasionally
- Frequent use of vision, hearing, and manual dexterity
Work Environment
- Exposure to weather conditions while entering/exiting vehicle
- Moderate noise level consistent with dealership operations
- Driving on local roads and highways
