Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and auto body repairs with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols while working on diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and other complex automotive components.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of vehicle maintenance tasks while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs performed using auto estimating software and adhere to quality standards in automotive service.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working within the automotive repair industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad spectrum of vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension.
- Skilled in reading schematics and automotive diagnostics for efficient troubleshooting.
- Experience with ADAS calibration, auto estimating processes, GM vehicles knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools essential for vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
