Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck or delivery van for the transportation of goods.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and any issues that arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving moving goods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- A clean driving record with no major violations.
