Description:
Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a detail oriented and data driven full-time Enrollment & Billing Coordinator for the Child & Family Services department. KVCAP Child & Family Services, a Head Start/Early Head Start provider, offers child care, preschool, home visiting and whole family coaching in northern Kennebec and Somerset counties.
The Enrollment & Billing Coordinator will assist with financial components of assigned program initiatives, including scholarships and accounts payable related tasks. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong financial knowledge and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities

Determining eligibility of applications and ensuring completion of all required documentation.

Completing data entry of child and family information as required in ChildPlus, E-DECA, and Procare.

Scan all documents for the electronic child/family file.

Establish income eligibility file and forwards appropriately for review.

Provide enrollment support as assigned for HomeStart partners.

Manages verification of childcare subsidies for enrolled families, as assigned.

Assists and supports the C&FS Accounts Payable Specialist with petty cash reconciliations and voucher preparations as assigned.

Provides coverage for the Hight Receptionist as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-4 years of administrative experience.

Accounting systems knowledge preferred.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with all internal/external customers, with accuracy and attention to detail.

Computer skills and aptitude, including Word and Excel, required.

Efficiency oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and present information in an effective manner.

Ability to work collaboratively with all people and be able to perform varied task simultaneously .

Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Fraud, and National Sex Offender registry background checks .

Associates degree or equivalent experience as indicated above.
