Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for service
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety standards
- Support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas, including countertops, sinks, floors, and storage spaces
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Follow strict food handling procedures to uphold food safety management policies and prevent contamination
- Aid in meal preparation by setting up ingredients and assisting with plating when needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy service times
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and menu planning enhances your ability to support diverse meal needs
- Hands-on experience with food safety standards in production environments is advantageous
- Skills in knife handling, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence are valuable assets for this role
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and support team efforts in serving high-quality meals
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently demonstrates your readiness for this position
