Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
- Adhere to emergency procedures by responding promptly to safety incidents or hazardous situations.
- Utilize industrial cleaning tools and supplies efficiently while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Experience with floor care methods such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or polishing floors.
- Background in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
