Client Delivery
- Maintain an assigned book of client accounts; serve as backup coverage for other accounts within the team as needed
- Facilitate benefit enrollments, terminations, QLEs, status changes, and dependent verification across all assigned clients
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients and their employees on eligibility issues, ID cards, benefits questions, and carrier escalations
- Monitor client agreement terms and SLAs; proactively flag risk areas and service gaps to the Team Lead or leadership
- Investigate and independently resolve complex benefit-related concerns—enrollment, deduction, billing, and claims—escalating only when necessary
- Partner with carriers and vendors to resolve claims issues and address client benefit-related matters
- Provide training and guidance to client HR teams on benefits processes, system use, and best practices; serve as an informal resource to less experienced team members
System Builds, Testing & Open Enrollment
- Build and configure benefits administration systems for new clients, renewals, and plan changes; conduct testing to confirm accuracy prior to go-live
- Execute the full open enrollment cycle for assigned clients—build, plan configuration, testing, go-live validation, communication posting, monitoring, and post-OE audits
- Submit plan updates and enrollment changes to carriers and benefits platforms; assist with post-renewal activities including billing audits and feed/file reviews
- Complete post-open enrollment audits as agreed upon with the client to ensure data accuracy and enrollment integrity
- Maintain accurate benefits data in client HRIS and benefits administration platforms; update systems for renewals and any other business needs as required
Benefits Administration & Eligibility
- Complete monthly billing audits (both list bill and self-bill) for assigned clients
- Support the administration of leaves of absence as they relate to benefit eligibility and continuation
- Process qualifying life events (QLEs), status changes, and dependent verification in accordance with plan rules and client requirements
Reporting & Data Management
- Run census data as required to prepare RFPs or other reports; complete client audits to ensure accuracy of data
- Track all communications and activities in the system of record daily; respond to client inquiries within 4 business hours
- Manage projects and workstreams within assigned accounts, communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations to clients and internal partners
- Manage the annual client service plan and timeline for assigned accounts, ensuring service cadences are met throughout the year
Compliance
- Operate in full compliance with HIPAA; maintain working knowledge of ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Perform all other duties as assigned

5+ years of experience in multi-client benefits brokerage or HR/benefits administration, including hands-on system build and OE execution experience

Deep knowledge of HRIS and benefits administration platforms; ability to build, configure and troubleshoot systems independently (Employee Navigator, ADP, Paylocity or similar)

Strong understanding of group benefit plans, compliance requirements (ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA) and carrier/vendor relationships

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage a complex, high-volume book of business independently across multiple deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to manage client relationships and resolve issues independently with confidence

Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-volume, deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight
Preferred Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)

HR and/or HR technology background; experience with HRIS implementations or system integrations
