Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Foam Insulator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing spray foam insulation in residential, commercial. to improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in insulation installation, and contribute to sustainable building practices.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces and areas for insulation by cleaning, measuring, and marking installation zones based on technical drawings and schematics
- Mix and apply spray foam insulation using airless paint spraying equipment and other power tools, ensuring even coverage and optimal adhesion
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install insulation according to project specifications
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and climbing techniques safely to access hard-to-reach areas on construction sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely while maintaining a clean work environment
- Conduct quality checks on installed insulation for proper thickness, coverage, and adherence; make adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool use, ladder safety, scaffolding, and working at heights; wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building insulation installation or related construction fields such as roofing, drywall, or masonry
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with power tool safety procedures and operation of power tools used in insulation work
- Ability to climb ladders safely and work at heights comfortably; experience with scaffolding is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, or caulking is advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and protocols
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with proficiency in using hand tools such as caulking guns, trim carpentry tools, or plastering equipment
- Experience with fabrication processes or working with building materials like stucco or concrete finishing is beneficial
