Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, ensure safety compliance, manage subcontractors, and maintain project schedules and budgets. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and project scheduling will drive project success while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Lead daily on-site operations, supervising construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project plans
- Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to keep projects on track
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring all team members follow safety procedures
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify construction accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly
- Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring scope adherence, quality standards, and timely deliveries
- Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction management software for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs against estimates, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and resolve issues swiftly
- Oversee all phases of construction site activities including material handling, equipment operation (such as ohmmeters), and site logistics
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role with a strong background in heavy civil or pipeline projects
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for complex construction projects
- Strong project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent management skills with a history of supervising diverse teams on large-scale construction sites involving pipelines or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of quality control procedures along with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues using tools like ohmmeters or similar testing equipment
