Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometry Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry clinic. As an Optometry Technician, you will assist in various clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of service in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
- Perform front desk duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling, verifying insurances, helping manage patient flow, etc.
- Pre-test patients before they see the doctor
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized and functional.
- Train new contact lens wearers
- Verify glasses and contact lens orders
- Assist with retail sales of eyewear products, ensuring excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinic or medical office setting is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with optometry practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes is beneficial.
- Experience in retail sales, particularly in eyewear or health-related products, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems to manage patient information effectively.

Pay: $28,000.00 - $33,000.00 per year
