Detailing Guru’s is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Car Detailer / Driver to join our team in Richmond, VA. This is a contract position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with vehicles, and can provide professional service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard detailing protocols.
- Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, SUVs, vans, and trucks.
- Clean windows, wheels, tires, and other exterior surfaces as needed.
- Operate detailing equipment such as vacuums, carpet shampoo machines, extractors, and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, dirt, and odors.
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet Detailing Guru’s quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
- Properly maintain and store detailing tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Report unsafe, hazardous, or unusual conditions promptly.
- Assist customers professionally and courteously when needed.
- Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the work site.

- Arrive on time and be prepared to work scheduled assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have no drug- or alcohol-related convictions on their driving record within the past five (5) years.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than approximately 30 minutes from the Richmond, VA work location.
- Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must have strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality service.
- Must be comfortable driving and working with vehicles of different sizes.
Preferred Skills
- Previous professional detailing, car wash, automotive, transportation, delivery, or customer service experience is preferred but not required for qualified candidates who are willing to learn
Physical Requirements
- This position may require prolonged standing, bending, reaching, lifting, walking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Contractors should be comfortable performing physically active detailing work throughout their scheduled assignments.
Contract Position
This is a contract role. Individuals selected for the position will perform services for Detailing Guru’s under the terms applicable to the contractor relationship.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
