Position & Compensation
Position: Multilingual Preschool Teacher
Location: 902 Bates St, St. Louis, Missouri 63111
Employment: Full-time, 7:20 am–4:40 pm
Compensation: Based on education, early childhood experience, teaching experience, and language proficiency. Salaried compensation is available in place of hourly pay.
About the Position
The Preschool Teacher will work with preschool-aged children as part of our multilingual early childhood program.
Teachers who speak French, Spanish, or Portuguese will be encouraged to communicate with children primarily in that language and create opportunities for children to develop understanding and confidence through play, conversation, songs, stories, classroom routines, and hands-on learning.
English-speaking teachers are also encouraged to apply, particularly those who are excited about working in a multicultural environment and supporting children's exposure to additional languages.
Our teachers are active participants in children's learning—not simply classroom supervisors. We value teachers who get down on the children's level, talk and play with them, ask questions, introduce new vocabulary, extend children's thinking, and turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning and connection.
